Learning outcomes |
The Curricular Unit (CU) is an introduction to Geographic Information Science. Its main objective is to provide students with autonomy to develop their general knowledge on the subject of spatial data representation, namely through the creation, editing, import, presentation and analysis of geographic data.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The CU is taught during 10 hours of contact with the teacher. The theoretical-practical (TP) classes, include theoretical exposition of the syllabus, the resolution of an exercise and its discussion and analysis, serving as a basis for the development of a final practical work, individual and autonomous implementing a small GIS project. The assessment is carried out through an individual and autonomous practical work.
