Injury risk factors and recovery capacity, as well as post-injury recovery, are fundamental factors for the well-being of players, to reduce their number of injuries or to reduce the time of competitive stoppage and ensure availability for the training and competition. This curricular unit will provide a better understanding of injury mechanisms and associated prevention strategies, as well as strategies for recovering from fatigue and returning to competition after injury. The nutritional foundations that allow to maximize performance, within a context of prevention and anti-doping control, will also be addressed.
