General objectives: 1. Develop knowledge about the state of the art in Exercise, Health, Wellness and Active Aging. 2. Disseminate good practices described in recent scientific literature on active aging. 3. Disseminate programs of recognized merit that promote active aging.
This course aims to develop the following skills:
1. General understanding of the concepts of health, well-being and active aging (knowledge area) 2. Ability to identify and apply physical fitness assessment tools in different contexts of aging (area of knowledge and know-how) 3. Demonstrate knowledge about the principles of exercise prescription, in different contexts of aging (area of knowledge) 4. Develop the capacity that allows lifelong learning, in a fundamentally self-oriented and autonomous way.
