Year 3
Semester S2
ECTS Credits 6
Workload TP(60H)
Scientific area MECÂNICA COMPUTACIONAL
Entry requirements N.A.
Learning outcomes Provide the student with a body of foundational knowledge and skills in the disciplinary area of systematic design. In parallel, the student will develop a computational project supervised by a course instructor. The learning outcomes focus on the following set of abilities and competencies: - Understand the systematic design development process, including project planning, and become familiar with new trends in digitalization. - Be able to deepen knowledge and develop a computational project, potentially involving simulation, programming, and optimization, applied to an industrial case or to research support. - Be able to interact with teams, gathering and sharing information. - Be able to prepare a project report using the standard format for engineering projects and present it in a public presentation.
Syllabus 1 - Engineering project. 2 - The systematic approach to design. 3 - Project planning. 4 - Industry 4.0 and the digital-twin concept. 5 - Development of a Computational Mechanical Engineering project.
