Learning outcomes |
Find the main ideas of theoretical and critical thought that marked the path of Design: framing them in historical, social, economic and cultural contexts.
Convey the idea of the need to define the parameters within which the designer's activity is based, allowing students to become aware of the discipline and activity of design.
Allow students to understand the evolution of design and understand its implications in the social, economic and cultural field. Transmit knowledge and theoretical tools on the history and theory of design, which allow developing a critical and analytical spirit. Confronting students with the creation of description sheets, analysis and contextualization of design objects. Encourage students to reflect on current design trends currently embracing our cultural reality, integrated into the program that leads them, hopefully, to understand "design".

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The classes will be included in the subject exposition and will be accompanied, whenever deemed necessary, by projections. Students' oral participation will be encouraged. The assessment will consist of the preparation of a group work.
_The group work will involve research on topics discussed in class.
_The Final Work will have to be presented to the class as a way of measuring the students' oral skills and sent to the teacher via email on a date to be designated.
