Learning outcomes Acquire broad, multidisciplinary, and complementary knowledge to support the preparation of the Dissertation/Project/Internship in Fashion Design, including aiming for greater professional readiness in the job market.

Understand the functioning and participation in national and international conferences, as well as professional events, including fashion, footwear, and accessories fairs.

Develop the ability to write scientific texts and professional reports.

Familiarize oneself with the legal framework of the profession and its ethical dimension
Syllabus Conducting a synthesis of bibliographic research on a specific topic (state of the art), in coordination with the Dissertation/Project/Internship in Fashion Design.
Creating an abstract for a scientific article for submission to a scientific conference or professional congress, or for submission to a journal or scientific congress.
Delivering reports following participation in scientific meetings or professional lectures, workshops, seminars, and visits to companies, stores, fairs, organizations, and events proposed by professors.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The teaching methodology is based on the tutorial guidance of students by the course instructors. It is a cooperative methodology that encourages reflection and places the acquisition of concepts, research, and participation in activities at the center of the student's learning. The assessment includes the following parameters: 1) completion of 15 literature reviews in review format (80%) ; 2) writing reports about scientific meetings, class, lectures, and external project-related activities (20%) proposed by the course instructors. These reports will be considered as frequency.
Final grade: activity 1(80)+ activity 2(20%)= 100%
The templates and guidelines will be made available on the Teams platform.
Considerations include: Mastery and control of the narrative, presentation of objectives and methodology used in the text, interpretation of results and conclusions by the student; correct adaptation to the format and processing of sources; source quality and suitability.
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
