Syllabus |
The workshops to be promoted are variable from year to year and are selected according to the specific needs of the classes and the typologies of the project to be developed in that year, and there is also the identification of opportunities and partnerships established. For the development of each workshop, the content will be prepared by an expert guest (designer, teacher, researcher, or other), either from the university or from the community (national or international), who prepares the brief. The theoretical, design, and technical contents are inserted in the area of industrial design or complementary areas. Possible typologies of workshops: - Design - development of processes and projects with professionals. Contact with new methodologies. - Technical, technological, and workshop - exploration of techniques and technologies (such as production processes, modeling, drawing, and photography, among others). - Communication - corporate identity and product presentation strategies.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The global methodology of theoretical-practical teaching, tendentially more practical, promotes active learning based on the exploration of concrete cases, based on the process of learning by doing. The specific methodologies and objectives are defined by the guests and formalized in the program of the respective workshops. The workshops will be held in compact, mandatory attendance modules lasting one to two consecutive days, taking place throughout the semester at times to be coordinated with the guests and students. Learning assessment is ongoing and based on student participation in the workshops, as well as the development, progress, and presentation of their projects. The final grade is awarded by a jury composed of the guests and faculty members based on the following criteria: workshops - 90%, Methodology/Experimentation - 10%.
