Learning outcomes Like with the curricular unit Workshops 1, this has the goal to broaden the horizons of project practice in industrial design, promoting:
- The acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge aimed at specific needs of each year or project developed in Project 2.
- Knowledge and the ability to apply new approaches and technologies in design.
- Skills in support areas or on the border with industrial design.
- The practice and experimentation of interdisciplinary methodologies.
- The ability to work on the development and implementation of short and practical projects.

Syllabus The workshops to be promoted vary from year to year and are selected according to the specific needs of the classes and the work to be developed in Project 2, thus articulating with that discipline and in coordination with opportunities and partnerships established each year.
For the development of each workshop, a specialist (designer, teacher, researcher or other) will be invited, either from the university or from the community (national or international). Theoretical and technical content in industrial design and in bordering areas.
Possible types of workshops:
- Project - development of processes and short projects with professionals from different areas.
- Technical - exploring techniques and technologies (such as production processes, modelmaking, drawing, photography), aimed at the projects to be developed.
Main Bibliography To be defined in each Workshop
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The theoretical-practical teaching methodology, which tends to be more practical, to promote active learning based on the exploration of concrete cases, based on know-how. The work process will be concentrated in intensive contact sessions, from 1 to 2 days in a row.
The assessment of learning is continuous and based on the participation of students in workshops, in the development, evolution and presentation of projects. Participation involvement throughout the semester (20%) is evaluated, as well as the work of the workshops (80%). The evaluation of the workshops is attributed by the guest (80%) and the discipline coordinator (20%).
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
