Entry requirements No prerequisites.
Learning outcomes Develop research in Industrial Design, autonomously or on an internship basis, from the structure of the research to the planning and identification of methodologies, from concept to detail, from the model to post-production and presentation.
Ability to plan, structure, and write a dissertation, project report, or Internship report.
Develop the capacity to carry out directed research work.

Syllabus Develop research in response to concrete problems, basing the analysis of the theme/motivation, objectives, and results to be achieved.
Define a research planning document.
Report and document research previously carried out around the themes.
Contribute to the creation of new knowledge.
Develop the process of Literary Criticism aiming at the writing of the State of the Art.
Know and apply scientific research methodologies.
Test, analyze, and validate results.
Writing of the dissertation or report.
Presentation of the dissertation or report and its public defense.
Main Bibliography Scientific articles, literary works, exhibition catalogs, dissertations, theses, and manuals relevant to the work in question (specific to each dissertation, internship, or project).
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Following the approval of the Work Plan by the Scientific Course Committee at the end of the first year, a teaching-learning process based on tutorial orientation is promoted, as well as interim presentations of the Dissertation / Project Work / Internship Report of a mandatory nature to a jury approved by the Scientific Committee of Course and according to a template to be provided by the Course Management. The student must obtain a positive evaluation in the set of presentations to be able to apply for admission to public tests. The evaluation process is governed by the Regulation of the master’s degree in industrial design of the University of Beira Interior (in the approval phase), by the applicable legislation and by the regulation of the master's degree of the institution, as well as by the applicable rectory orders.
