Learning outcomes |
1. Recognize the characteristics of digital illustration and its contexts, production techniques, and uses within the context of Design and Fashion. 2. Develop research, appropriation, management, creation, communication, and presentation skills for the use of digital illustrations and images within the context of Fashion. 3. Identify various types and formats of digital illustration, using various applications and creative and editing techniques. 4. Apply, manage, and develop drawings representing the human body and garments. Develop patterns, manage colors, transparencies, shadows, effects, and filters in different digital representation contexts. 5. Recognize, create, and develop processes for creating and presenting digital illustrations applied to Fashion Design.

Syllabus |
1. Historical approach relating ilustration creative processes with the digital image technologies. 2. Processes of searching and sharing images online, digitizing, and creating illustrations in specialized software (Adobe Illustrator). 3. Analog drawing and its digitization, development of digital drawing processes for the human body and garments. 4. Drawing and representation of sketches and detailed illustrations of clothing presentations applied to Fashion Design, using digital tools and techniques (Adobe Illustrator). 5. Digital drawing practices, emphasizing aspects such as chromatic harmonies and balances, coherent anatomical representation, representation of proportion, volume, light, and shadow. 6. Vector drawing and image editing, exploring various techniques and applications: • Studies of colors, gradients, masks, filters, transparencies, and textures. • Creation of repeating modules and patterns. • Illustrations of coordinated outfits and clothing collections.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Methodology: Development of theoretical lectures, and laboratory practical and technological development. Development of in-class exercises that correspond to the required project delivery points. Individualized assistance of the studens, three practical projects, divided into several phases.
Continuous Assessment: Final grades are the result of students' continuous development, considering all the proposals and assessment moments planned throughout the semester. To achieve the minimum passing grade (10), students must complete all the proposals and assessment moments announced during the semester. Work that has not been monitored in class will not be accepted.
Attendance: Minimum attendance of 70% of classes. The minimum absence requirement does not apply to student workers, who are guaranteed their rights regarding presentation and attendance dates. However, they are required to attend regularly, monitor the progress of their work with faculty, and agree on and meet deadlines.
