Learning outcomes |
1. Recognize characteristics of digital illustration, as well as contexts and techniques for its production and use, in the context of Fashion Design. 2. Develop capabilities for research, appropriation, management, creation, communication and presentation of illustrations and digital images in the context of Fashion. 3. Identify different types and formats of digital illustration, relating different applications and creative and editing techniques. 4. Apply and manage and develop designs representing the human body and clothing items, as well as patterns, as well as the application of colors, effects and filters in different contexts of digital representation. 5. Recognize, create and develop processes for creating and presenting digital illustrations applied to Fashion Design.

Syllabus |
1. Historical approach relating the creative processes of digital image processing technologies. 2. Processes of searching and sharing images online, scanning and creating illustrations in proprietary applications (Adobe Illustrator). 3. Analog drawing and its digitalization, developments of digital drawing processes for the human body and clothing items. 4. Design and representation of sketches and detailed illustrations for presenting clothing applied to Fashion Design using digital tools and techniques (Adobe Illustrator). 5. Digital drawing practices valuing aspects such as chromatic harmonies and balances, coherent anatomical representation, representation of proportion, volume, light and shadow. 6. Editing vector drawings and images, exploring various techniques and applications: • Exploration of variations in color studies, gradients, masks, filters, transparencies, textures. • Development of repetition modules, patterns. • Clothing fashion collection illustrations.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Methodology: - Development Lectures on theoretical and laboratory, practical and technological development. - Development of exercises and three practical application projects, divided into different development phases.
Continuous Assessment: The final grades are the result of the students' continuous development, considering all the proposals and evaluation moments planned throughout the semester. To achieve the minimum positive rating (10), students will have to develop all the proposals and evaluation moments announced during the semester. Work that has not been followed in class will not be accepted.
Attendance: Minimum attendance of 70% of classes. Student workers are not covered by the minimum absence regime and their rights to relative flexibility for presentation and attendance dates are guaranteed, however they have the obligation to maintain minimum attendance and monitor the development of work with teachers.
