Learning outcomes |
It is intended that during the semester the students deepen a set of historical-artistic notions and concepts associated with the evolution of symbolic thought manifest in Art, and develop the necessary skills to relate their influence as a cultural and imaginary phenomenon.
At the end of the semester the student should be able to:
• Observe and critically analyze works of art from its earliest days;
• Associate artists and works with corresponding artistic styles and movements;
• Identify and associate historical events as a motive of artistic movements;
• Develop research group work in accordance with established parameters;
• Identify influences of artistic movements throughout the History of Art and of Image

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The teaching methodology is based mainly on an expository dimension, of master classes with the support of multimedia elements.
In this UC, attendance, participation in classes and activities proposed throughout the semester will be counted for final evaluation. Practical group work will be proposed, which will consist of carrying out a project for a piece of furniture, inspired by a theme proposed by the teacher (classical orders: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian). To assess knowledge of the proposed syllabus, an assessment test will be carried out.
The final grade will be calculated according to the following criteria:
• Participation/Attendance – 10%
• Group work - 40%
• Assessment Test – 50%
