Identify cultural similarities and idiosyncrasies among the PALOP; 3. Illustrate these similarities and idiosyncrasies from cultural trends and great figures of Portuguese-speaking African cultures; 4. Deepen contemporary literary trends in Angola based on selected authors. 5. Deepen contemporary literary trends in Mozambique based on selected authors. 6. Deepen contemporary literary trends in Cape Verde based on selected authors. 7. Deepen contemporary literary trends in São Tomé and Príncipe based on selected authors. 8. Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
After a theoretical exposition on the concepts set out in point 1 of the program, which lead to exclusions and cultural intersections between Lusophony and African cultures present in the PALOP, classes always acquire a theoretical-practical aspect, analyzing texts provided or suggested by the teacher, commented and analyzed in group. In all syllabus contents, the teacher encourages the pertinent participation of the students and the exposition of ideas between them. The evaluation criteria are discussed at the beginning of the semester: it includes the writing of a monographic research work (14 val.), tutorially accompanied by the teacher in the last classes, with progressive autonomous dynamics of the student, and respective oral presentation (4 val.). The student's attendance and active participation in classes are also taken into account in the final grade of the UC (2 values ??max.). The vast bibliography provided at the beginning of the semester serves also as a starting point.
