Learning outcomes In this Curricular Unit it is intended that the student learn the historical, technical and aesthetic foundations of photography. At the end of it, the student should be able to handle any photographic equipment as well as make creative decisions and framing and exposure techniques.
Syllabus Part I:
1. Cameras, lenses and accessories; Understanding Exposure; Depth of field and focal lengths; Creativity: Composition and Photographic Vision
2. Practical exercises
Part II: Still image and moving image
What is a montage? Decoupage and montage. Cinema without editing. Framing and the frame. The structuring of space and time in a film. The temporality of the film in its sound and image space.
Part III: Technique and practice, controlling the image
Types of lighting; Equipment: techniques and solutions;3.3 Shooting: styles and approaches
The functions of the image team; Practical light and camera exercises

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria There is a presentation and exposition of the fundamental concepts and theories, as well as the equipment used, which work as a preparation for the realization of practical exercises of exposition and framing of photographs. Continuous assessment involves carrying out practical exercises in class, which will be the subject of further analysis and discussion. Each student will carry out two individual assignments and one group assignment.
