Syllabus 1. The cinematographic documentary:
Definition, historical evolution, modes of representation, themes and procedures of the documentary. Reading of the book Introduction to documentary, by Bill Nichols.
2. Discussing the genre: programming and the creation of documentary films.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The teaching methodology consists of the following:
a) in-class discussion of chapters from the book Introduction to Documentary and viewing of films appropriate to each of these chapters.
In this sense, the assessment consists of a frequency with consultation.
b) Masterclass on programming and presentation by the teacher of aspects to be considered in a film project
In this sense, the assessment consists of the preparation of a piece of work and its respective presentation in class or of a program or a proposal for a film project.
