Learning outcomes The course named "Theoretical course: NMR for metabolic profiling" provides an introduction to the study of metabolism using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) technique. It includes theoretical lectures, in an online format.

By the end of the course, students should be able to:
(i) understand the basics of NMR spectroscopy;
(ii) understand the main metabolic pathways;
(iii) understand the application of NMR in the study of metabolic processes;
Syllabus 1. Introduction to NMR: principles and applications
2. Unveiling metabolism using NMR – applications overview
3. Main Metabolic Pathways on carbon Metabolism accounting for biosynthesis and bioenergetics
4. Ovarian Cancer: cues for metabolic adaptation, early diagnosis, and follow-up
5. Overview of NMR metabolomics in disease research and drug discovery
6. Metabolic Fluxes by 13C NMR isotopomer analysis
7. Expanding the coverage of the metabolome using 15N and 31P NMR
8. Metabolic studies using deuterated water and 2H NMR analysis of metabolites enrichements
