Entry requirements |
Have a master's degree, and ideally be enrolled in a doctoral program in the area of Biomedicine (or another) or work in the area of science communication.
As the sessions will be essentially "hands-on", participants will need to have a laptop (and mouse) to put the course content into practice

Learning outcomes |
The aim is to provide participants with the skills to create high-quality, informative, and attractive figures for scientific communication. This course will then allow participants to acquire the essential technical principles in creative design, for creating appealing images for different purposes in scientific research (e.g. publications, presentations at congresses, project applications). The target audience consists of doctoral students/researchers in the area of ??Biomedicine and others, and professionals in the area of ??scientific communication.

Syllabus |
May 16, 2024- Technical fundamentals on creating images and practical exercises in image editing. May 17, 2024-Application of advanced design, effective use of colors, image resolution, and creation of graphical abstracts.
