Learning outcomes |
1) Understand the designer's competencies and the scope of their field of work. 2) Interpret a context/territory, identify a problem, define a program, develop a concept, consider constraints and limitations. 3) Use drawing and models as an experimental tool for communicating ideas. 4) Consider the relationship between the body and the space or object, taking into account ergonomic factors and the emotional value of the product, which is not limited to its utilitarian function. 5) Understand that design is not just a product, but an experience that involves co-design processes. 6) To know and interpret authors and brands, which are essential to the construction of an entire visual and material culture. 7) To assimilate technical knowledge that will enable the project to be carried out. 8) Learn to justify the various options and approaches throughout the project development process. 9) Acquire skills in visual communication.

Syllabus |
1) Introduction to Design and the skills of the designer and the scope of their field. 2) Design as a process: Explanation of design methodology applicable to Design. 3) Principles of visual design, such as color, typography and layout. 4) Framing other topics related to Design, namely Interaction, experience, co-design, among others.
