Learning outcomes The general goal of this curricular unit is to reach the CEFR level A2, taking into account two aspects: the specificity of SFL teaching-learning for/by
Lusophones (close languages); the training not only of competent SFL users, but also of future SFL teachers in Portugal, translators, etc. See the Portuguese
version for further details (specific goals and intended learning outcomes).
Syllabus 1. Functional: giving directions, orders or advice, describing and narrating in the present/past, formulating future plans, interacting in everyday situations.
2. Pragmatic-discursive: basic markers, mechanisms to maintain the referent and the discursive thread.
3. Sociocultural: basic aspects of societies and cultures in Spanish-speaking spaces.
4. Grammatical: revision-consolidation of the grammatical contents of the previous semester, the syllable (syllabic division, diphthongs/triphthongs/hiatuses);
accentuation (stress rules), indefinites, the apocope phenomenon, gerund, tenses and future expression, imperative, past tenses and temporal markers,
periphrases (“estar”+gerund/“ir a”+ infinitive).
5. Lexicals: lexicon suited to the specific needs/communicative abilities of the level and proposed notio-functional contents (city, health, leisure),
divergent/problematic units for Portuguese speakers (false friends, bilingual doublets, etc.).

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Teaching methodologies --> In the theoretical-practical classes, varied activities appropriate to the level will be proposed, covering all basic linguistic skills
(understanding, production, interaction, mediation).
Student’ assessment --> continuous evaluation: 15%; 2 midterm tests: 55%; 1 final oral exam: 30%.
