1.2. Philosophy and the arts.
1.3. Theater and oratory.
2. THE ROMAN WORLD
2.1. The History of Rome: from foundational myths to the Imperium.
2.2. The Aeneid, by Virgil.
2.3. Roman religion, mythology, society and games.
3. THE RENAISSANCE
3.1. Imitation and reception of classical literature by Humanists.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The methodologies used include lectures on exposition and application of contents, using New Technologies, whenever deemed appropriate; through
discussion and reflection about texts; and for individual works.
Students will be evaluated periodically in two moments of the semester, through two written tests, and continuously for their participation during classes.
