Syllabus |
1. Writing in the expression of knowledge. 2. The writing process. 2.1 Planning: generation and organization of content and its adaptation to the communication context. 2.2 Writing: transition from the level of ideas to the level of written language; mechanisms of textual structuring 2.3. Revision: assessment and revision of the produced text; grammatical aspects, spelling, and common errors. 3. Textual typologies: narrative text, descriptive text, expository text, instructional text, predictive text, conversational text, and semiotic text. 4. The use of writing in an academic and professional context. 5. The creative writing process. 6. Text editing: the potential of electronic writing.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The methodologies used include lectures on exposition and application of contents, using New Technologies, whenever deemed appropriate; through discussion and reflection about texts; and for individual and group work. Students will be evaluated periodically in two moments of the semester, through the completion of a written test and the delivery and defense of a work, and continuously for their participation during classes.
