This course unit aims to describe and integrate the knowledge concerning the fundamentals of gene and cell-based therapies and abord the forefront of research in these areas such as Gene Editing, CAR-T Cell Therapy, Gene Therapy, Stem Cell Therapies, immunotherapy, Regenerative Medicine, Synthetic Biology.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Seminars are planned to cover all the topics in the program , and to continually stimulate interaction and discussion between students, groups of students, and tutors. This approach facilitates the acquisition of knowledge in the specific area of study, allows for the integration of content, and develops the ability to solve new questions and critical thinking. Students will be organized into groups to carry out a final assignment. Practical classes help to deepen knowledge. This strategy facilitates learning and also increases teamwork skills. Assessment include the presentation of a final project (in groups), and participation in learning activities.
