Learning outcomes This course aims to build a comprehensive and integrative framework of psychological intervention with children and adolescents, enhancing knowledge and skills in the field of the models, techniques, and psychological intervention programs. At the end of the course students should be able to:
1. Understand the specificities of psychological consultation with children and adolescents;
2. Apply developmental principles to the analysis and intervention in the psychological problems of children and adolescents;
3. Identify the main types of emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders in childhood and adolescence;
4. Select, plan, and implement the main intervention methodologies appropriate to the different problems;
5. Read and analyze, critically, scientific literature in this area;
6. Develop interpersonal relationship skills within the framework of psychological intervention;
7. Display responsible, ethical, and deontological behavior.
Syllabus 1. Introduction to psychological intervention with children and adolescents
1.1 Developmental influences
1.2 The process of psychological consultation.
2. Specific intervention models for high-incidence psychological disorders in children and adolescents
2.1 Elimination disorders;
2.2 Neurodevelopmental disorders;
2.3 Anxiety disorders;
2.4 Disruptive, impulse control, and behavioral disorders.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The parameters considered in the assessment of this course are
- one knowledge assessment test;
- one practical work based on a clinical case (carried out in small groups), with written and oral presentation.
