Learning outcomes |
Integrate endocrinology knowledge with that acquired by students during their previous training, with the goal of understanding and deepening the core aspects of cellular and molecular mechanisms and the endocrine regulation of the body's various functions. - Identify and describe the general characteristics of the endocrine system. - Relate the acquired knowledge about the chemical structure of hormones to understand their functions. - Understand the relevance of this system in regulating metabolism and calcium and phosphorus homeostasis. - Deepen knowledge of the cardiovascular system to understand the regulation of hormonal control of blood pressure. - Describe the role of hormones in regulating spermatogenesis, ovarian and endometrial cycles, childbirth, and lactation. - Develop critical thinking skills regarding scientific articles in this field.
