Learning outcomes |
To obtain knowledge about the molecular and cellular basis of cancer, to recognize the importance of basic research in the evolution of clinical applications in oncology, to know how to perform some laboratory techniques used in cancer research. Students should acquire the conceptual and practical bases to carry out research in oncobiology. They should understand the onset and progression of oncological diseases and feel able to discuss and develop strategies to develop research in this field, and perform technical functions in a laboratory environment. It is also expected that they will be able to solve problems associated with the topics analyzed, showing the ability to apply knowledge to practice. In terms of attitudes, students should have developed the ability to work as a team in solving problems and acquiring knowledge.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
1-Evaluation by frequency- Students who attend 100% of the practical classes and 60% of the theoretical-practical classes-obtain attendance of the course.
2-Evaluation by final exam- All students who attend 100% of the practical classes and 60% of the theoretical-practical classes will be admitted to the final exam if they obtain a minimum grade of 6. Like the frequencies, the final exam will also consist of multiple-choice questions. They will be approved if the final classification (referring to the exam is = a 9.5. The grade of the work done in the course (PR and AP) will be used in the calculation of the final grade of students who pass the exam according to the following formula: Notal final de exame (70%)+RP(20%)+AP(10%)
