Learning outcomes |
The UC aims to identify the political system and the nature of power flows within the institutional web of the European Union, as well as the idiosyncrasies in the bilateral and multilateral relationship between the Union and the Member States and the multiple levels of competences and of attributions in matters of public policies. This curricular unit provides a consistent theoretical and practical basis that enables students to analyze the development and functioning of the EU as a political system; explain the functioning of its institutions; identify the process of elaboration and implementation of community policies; to understand the political system of the European Union; understand the dynamics of the European economic and political integration process; master the concepts and technical vocabulary characteristic of the discipline of European studies.
