Learning outcomes |
This course analyses the phenomenon of global governance as a system of rules, norms, and institutions which frame human action in the international sphere, as well as the organisations that sustain that system. Class follow a theory-practice methodology, including lecturing (on the theory, history, and themes of global governance) and in-class discussion prompted by assigned readings.
By the end, students should be able to: 1. Understand the international order as a set of interrelated rules, norms, and institutions; 2. Interpret the processes of creation, adaptation, and decline of the instruments global governance, including the main international organisations. 4. Acquire the capacities required to produce scientific knowledge and to communicate it in writing and orally.
