Learning outcomes the learning objectives aim to develop essential competencies for architectural practice. Students are encouraged to enhance their observation, critical analysis, and creative skills, which are fundamental in project design. Exploring the graphic potential of different materials and instruments allows students to express their ideas more effectively.Specific objectives, such as understanding the meaning of a sketch, using graphic recording as a creative tool, and executing perspectives with an understanding of vanishing points, align with teaching methods that promote active practice and experimentation. Additionally, understanding the human figure and the importance of light in architecture are addressed, preparing students for spatial and functional considerations. The integration of technology in presentations and portfolios complements the learning experience, equipping students with the necessary skills for digital recording and the use of computer-aided design programs.
Syllabus The curricular content of the unit Drawing for Architecture II/1 focuses on the study of objects at the scale of the human figure and space, addressing several essential dimensions. Perspective is a key theme, where students understand the meaning of the vanishing point and learn to sketch based on geometric notions of perspective, including the application of the Golden Ratio. The human figure is analyzed in terms of scale, volumetry, and proportion, exploring its intrinsic relationship with architecture. The perception of space and its graphic representation are also discussed. Color is examined for its expressive potential in the graphic field, enriching visual communication.Additionally, students are introduced to digital recording, learning to use computer-aided design programs and to create a digital portfolio. Finally, the language of sketching is emphasized as a means of communication and a support for the creative process, enabling better representation of ideas.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The teaching and learning methodologies for the course unit "Drawing for Architecture II/1" are aligned with a student-centered pedagogical model, fostering an interactive and collaborative environment. The assessment of assignments is continuous throughout the semester, allowing students to reflect on their progress through self-assessment, which promotes autonomy and responsibility in the learning process. Emphasis on interest and research into the proposed exercises motivates students to delve deeper into the content, encouraging curiosity and creative exploration. The graphic quality of presentations is a fundamental criterion, encouraging students to develop technical and aesthetic skills. Constant communication between instructor and students facilitates the exchange of feedback and clarification of doubts, creating a more dynamic learning environment. Attendance is valued as a crucial factor in achieving success in the course.
