Learning outcomes |
With this UC is intended that the student learns to develop a scientific research work.
1.Do bibliographic research (libraries, electronic databases);
2. Pose a meaningful problem (in a scientific way);
3. Develop the stated problem, advancing an hypothetical answer, based on the explored
theories and studies;
4. Reveal acquaintance with the proper
methodologies and techniques/instruments as well as the knowledge of the methods of data
analysis;
5. Discuss an defend a position;
6. Express by writting and speaking the results of the developed work.

Syllabus |
Development of a master dissertation, which can assume one of the following formats:
a. Monograph dissertation, with the following items: Introduction (raise of the problem); State
of art (analysis of meaningful literature and the position of an hypothesis/answer for the raised
problem); Empirical study (objectives, subjects, instruments; procedures and results);
Discussion/conclusion; Annexes.
b. Empirical Paper. It must include the same items as in (a) organized as a paper able to de
submitted and published.
c. Theoretical paper: it must include a problem definition and the search of an argumentative
answer, with the following items: Introduction (problem definition and argumentative
structures); State of art (several arguments based on the meaningful literature); Conclusion.
