Learning outcomes	- Have critical thinking about canonized or marginalized literature. - Know and characterize genres of marginal texts (oral or written). - Develop a work on the subject of oral and written margined litterature or texts on the path of literary institutional recognition. By the end of the semester, the student must be able to: - master the concepts of literary institution, literary canon and marginality; - explain the marginalization of some oral and written texts; - recognize the particularities of simple and complex shapes of marginalized written and oral literatures; - identify and characterize the different types of marginalized texts by the literary establishment; - analyze texts from oral tradition and from marginalized written literature; - recognize the potential of teaching and ethics of oral and marginal literature; - develop a work with scientific rigor on the subject of oral and written margined literature.
Syllabus	1. Notion of literary institution, canon and marginality. 2. The Grimm's brothers, Propp and Jolles: milestones in the recovery of oral traditional literature; 3. Simple and complex forms of oral literature: typological distinction, function and common structures. 4. Genres of margined written literature: distinction and typological characterization. Highlighting some genres in the path of the institutional recognition. 4.1. Folk tale and children's short story: distinction. Comparativist study of "Little Red Riding Hood" and "A Fada Oriana," of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. 4.2. Literary crime fiction. Pioneering work of Poe and Conan Doyle. 4.3. Science fiction. Pioneering work of Jules Verne.
