Learning outcomes |
The objective of this curricular unit is that students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of physical concepts useful in Industrial Chemistry, notably concerning mechanics and electromagnetism. A student completing this course should be able to identify, interpret and analyze elementary physical situations involving classical mechanics and classical electromagnetism.

Syllabus |
1) Mechanics:
Vectors. Kinematics in one dimension. Kinematics in three dimensions. Relative motion. Newton motion laws. Collisions and linear momentum conservation Work and energy. Rotational dynamics.
2) Electromagnetism:
Electric interaction. Magnetic interaction. Electric circuits. Electromagnetism Maxwell laws.
