Learn the structures of compounds and special fabrics Learn about the technical parameters of fabrics and their influence in performance Understand geometry parameters of fabrics and the relationship with the technique of construction Develop skills for the engineering design project of fabrics
The student must have capacities to draw fabric patterns, in compound and special fabrics; to analyze the structural parameters of fabrics and relate to the influence on performance; to apply knowledge about the parameters resulting from geometry in the fabrics construction technique. The student must have skills for the project of engineering design of fabrics, through the ability to relate the materials, the structural characteristics, the properties and performance in garment making and wear, depending on quality level determined by the market, considering the aesthetic values. The student should be able to analyze cases and investigate new situations.
