The program is designed to:
- Develop criative abilities on the production of verbal or imagetic messages
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in diverse areas of Communication which require high skills in conception and reflection about the work in the following domains: Jornalism (press and audiovisual); Multimedia production; Entrepeneur communication (public relations, advertisement, internal communication); Institutional communication (public relations for state or municipal organizations) |

Students must get able to:
- Knowledge and understanding: To interpret facts in articulation with the main historical, cultural and epistemological movements; To analyse communication media and their social impacts; To know the specific characteristics and goals of the several professional fields in the area of communication
- Appliance of knowledge and understanding: To produce and transmit proper messages in the fields of journalism, advertisement and public relations; To manage the several technologies in use for journalistic, advertising and public relations production
- To make judgments: To have critical ans self-reflexive capacity within the scope of journalistic and advertising/public relations fields.
- Communication: To communicate with publics through media and technologies according to professional standards; To make accurate and clarifying synthetis
