Profile of the programme To promote educational and social training, integrating students in an active community that answers the needs of interaction among different knowledge groups, stimulating the ability for the dialogue, understanding and to defend civic and technically their points of view. To develop oral and written expression, promoting self-confidence and making easier the communication without ambiguities of conclusions and reasoning to specialists and non-specialists. To promote the application of acquired knowledge, interpretation and understanding ability to the solution of problems and conception of products, equipments and systems which are intimately related with interdisciplinary scientific areas and with technological, economic, social and environmental conditionings; To develop autonomous and self-orientated learning that allows the specialist to adapt to the constant technological evolution.
Key learning outcomes To endow the trainees with the ability to integrate knowledge, deal with complex questions, develop solutions or emit judgments in limited or incomplete information situations, even allowing the ability to change principles, methods and execution techniques; To develop leadership and decision competences fundamental to self-confidence and people, processes, equipments and goods management, usually in shortage environments, looking for resources optimization, encouraging the cooperation and consequently productivity increases; To create competences that allow their integration in scientific investigation teams, awakening the taste for the scientific method, innovation and entrepreneurism, contributing for the quality increment of scientific and technological production quality of the country.
Occupational profiles of graduates The Master graduates in Electromechanical Engineering have aptitudes to develop varied and highly prestigious and responsible functions whether in the Business or Academic world.
