The research work to be developed during this curriculum unit can be carried out at the premises of the University of Beira Interior or, alternatively, in collaboration with companies that develop activity in chemistry or related area.

Learning outcomes |
- Training human resources with ability to develop independently research in the scientific area of chemistry - Prepare qualified professionals to carry out research activities in universities or in industrial companies where innovation is essential
At the end of the course, the student should be able to: - Conceive, design, adapt and carry out research work in the field of chemistry, in compliance with the requirements imposed by the standards of academic quality and integrity - Perform a significant amount of original research work that has contributed to the expansion of the frontiers of knowledge, part of which can be presented in publications subject to scientific arbitration - Critically analyse, evaluate and synthesize new and complex ideas - Communicate with his peers, the academic community and society in the area in which he is specialized.
