Learning outcomes |
To endow the student with advanced knowledge in a particular area of Paper Engineering and the ability to perform original research, with an increasing level of autonomy. The thesis research helps the student develop research skills, critical judgment, originality and independence.
The student should be able to:
Critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize new and complex ideas in paper science and technology; Conduct original research, in a progressively autonomous way, using appropriate analytical methodologies; Identify opportunities for innovation in terms of processes and/or product development, identify a thesis and carry out fundamental and/or applied research in order to test the thesis; Conduct original research work that contributes to the expansion of the frontiers of knowledge, part of which deserves international publicity in peer review journals; Communicate with their peers, the other academic community and the society, in general.
