Learning outcomes Provide students with critical sense in the decisions taken at the level of economic policy;
Show how to characterize, classify and to provide key elements for creating an organization;
Provide students with some techniques to structure and process of decision making within the organization.

At the end of UC students should be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental aspects of micro and macro-economic theory;
Identify organizational models, the role of management (the manager) and the various areas and functions of a company;
Understand how the company can interact with their environment and with the current position and how to formulate competitive strategies

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The primary aims of the module are to provide a clear and concise introduction to economic principles and key aspects of modern economies, while giving special attention to the interconnectedness between the economic environment and the business environment in modern economies. In accordance, the noteworthy economic and managerial theories are examined and debated extensively in the classroom. The theoretical knowledge is consolidated by empirical analysis of present day economic and managerial problems of modern economies and integrated and materialized in the subject areas taught in the class lectures.
