Learning outcomes This CU intends to be an introduction to the study of Sport Psychology, providing a conceptual and theoretical framework to understand and discuss the influence of psychological variables in the practice of sports and physical activity, and to foster the development of elemental competences of intervention in this context.
At the end of UC the student should be able to:
1. Define the Psychology of Sport, characterize its object of study and its most common research methods.
2. Describe the most relevant psychological processes in the practice of sport and physical activity, explain the underlying theoretical models and discuss the empirical data on which they are based.
3. Describe and base elementary psychological intervention strategies related to the above processes.
4. Explain the educational and preventive value of psychological intervention in sport.
5. Search and analyze scientific information in this field.
6. Organize and plan work over time.

2. Personality and Self-confidence in Sport.
3. Attention and Concentration in Training and Sports Competition.
4. Anxiety and Stress in Sport.
5. Motivation in Sports Training and Competition.
6. Leadership and Communication in Sport.
7. Main Psychological Strategies for Intervention in Sports.
