Learning outcomes |
The first year and in particular the discipline of Project I constitute the first approximation of the student to the universe of architecture, fundamental in the academic formation of the future architect and in the construction of his personal patrimony, not only through the proposed academic works, but also of the different themes throughout the year.
This curricular unit aims to introduce the general problems of architecture, the construction of individual work methodologies, the understanding of the concept as the essential basis of the project and the practices of representation of the same concept.
Understanding architecture will be fostered on the basis of experimentation. If, on the one hand, the provision of tools for the enrichment of students' architectural culture is considered fundamental, at the same time, it will encourage the rejection of preconceived ideas, with the aim of developing their own methodologies and individual architectures.

Exercise 1: Exploring the City - Architecture on the way from Home to University

Exercise 2: Draw Architecture - "The Parade" (intervention by Architect Costa Cabral)

Exercise 3: Architectural Space - How to Intervene in the "Stop"
