Learning outcomes |
The Drawing Unit promotes the development of the cognitive capacities of conception / representation of the world through manual graphic registration and has the following objectives in this second semester: the development of observation capacities and visual memory in the objective and subjective world; the development of manual dexterity and mental skills; the understanding of drawing as a intentional selection of emphasis and exclusion, learning being an experimental process where we learn by drawing in a subjective matrix; the understanding and capacity to express architectural concepts of tectonic and stereotomic, as well as the ordination principles of scale, proportion, rhythm and movement, hierarchy, balance, light, colour and materiality and texture, etc.; the understanding of the typological, topological and syntactic meaning of architectural space.

Syllabus |
The disciplinary program is developed in three moments: 1st Perception and Imagination - suggestive capacity of the observed spaces, suggestive capacity of materials and drawing techniques; 2nd Experimentation and Understanding - exterior spaces and their understanding, light, color and material, tectonic and stereotomic qualities of space and architecture; 3rd The memory and the experience - capacity of memorization and the intentional use of techniques of representation of the observed space, design of the space as the expression of the human cultural and individual experience. Alongside these moments and respective exercises the following concepts will be developed and applied: light and color, materiality and texture, scale and relation of alterity, proportion and identity, rhythm and movement, aggregation and composition, gravity and lightness, continuity and discontinuity.
