Learning outcomes The main goal of this curricular unit is to conclude the writing of an original thesis within the scientific domain of Mathematics, which has been prepared throughout the doctoral work and the respective curricular units "Thesis in Mathematics and Applications" of the first and second years of the course. This is the third curricular unit in the three-part sequence Thesis in Mathematics and Applications. It is undertaken during the last academic year and operates under a tutorial supervision model involving guidance from the advisor(s).
Syllabus The syllabus is defined jointly by the advisor(s) and the student, encompassing a range of interconnected themes closely related to the innovative mathematical problems that the thesis seeks to address.
Main Bibliography Key scientific publications in the field of Mathematics that provide the essential foundation for the proposed research work.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria
At the end of the semester, the doctoral thesis must be validated by the supervisory team. If validated, the thesis is then proposed for public defense, subject to the supervisory team's approval.
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
