Learning outcomes |
To transmit knowledge to help the students to define the major questions of the research and elaborate the state of the art in a specific sociological sub-area, as well as, to structure an individual work plan for the two years of the doctoral thesis.

Syllabus |
1. The main phases of preparation of a doctoral project. 2. Implementation and associated problems. 3. The various sub-domains of the Sociology: goals and specificities. 4. The state of the art/critical review of the literature. 5. Collecting and processing information and formalization of the research questions. 6. Doctoral plan in a subfield of Sociology. 7. PhD Planning: elements to be provided, format, supporting arguments, planning of time and resources, and preparation of the thesis defense.
