Learning outcomes |
Acquire extensive knowledge, multidisciplinary and complementary to the training acquired, to support the preparation of the Dissertation / Project / Internship in Fashion Design, including aiming at greater training to the exercise of the profession in the labor market. Understand the operation and participation in national and international conferences, as well as professional events, including fashion fairs, footwear and accessories. Develop the ability to write scientific texts and professional reports. To know the legal framework of the practice of the profession and its ethical dimension.

Syllabus |
The contents of this UC are related to the relevance of current themes in the area of Fashion Design and the research proposals of the master's students, which are provided at the beginning of the semester for the ordering of the program and invited speakers. The knowledge is acquired by the students, duly guided by the teacher, according to a list of works and activities: 1-Realization of a work of synthesis of bibliographic research on a certain theme (state of the art), in conjunction with the Dissertation/Project/Internship in Fashion Design 2-Preparation of an abstract of scientific article for submission to a scientific conference or professional congress, or submission of an article to a journal or scientific congress. 3- Presentation of report by participation in scientific conferences or lectures, workshops of a professional nature. 4-Study visits to companies, shops, fairs, organizations, events with report presentation.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The teaching methodology is based on the tutorial monitoring of students by the teachers of the curricular unit. It is a cooperative methodology, encouraging reflection and focusing on the student the acquisition of concepts, research and participation in activities. The evaluation comprises one of two options and the following factors: 1) conducting a bibliographic research work (45%); abstract to be submitted to a scientific meeting (25%); presence in scientific meetings and delivery of a report alrelated to them (30%). 2) conducting a bibliographic research work (45%); article to be submitted to a scientific meeting (35%); presence in scientific meetings and delivery of a report alrelated to them (20%).
