Learning outcomes |
Learning base from which develops the garment design project in the context of fashion design.
Creating habits of collecting information through a process of constant research and implementation of the various stages of clothing collections design methodologies. Being able to identify the inspiration that led to the choice of a specific topic, developing research and route followed; elaborate panels and ambient color palettes, selecting materials, developing fashion illustration, the acessorização and technical representation.

Syllabus |
The programcontent is integrated with the "Xi-heart Little Project" which covers practical theoretical methodological approach in the development of collection and conceptual object with theoretical basis fostered in design and sustainability and in the appreciation of sociocultural context and material culture. 1.Approach to the phases of a clothing design project: Mood boards, target market analysis and selection, selection of colors, materials, textures and technologies; drawings (illustrations and technical representations); modeling and confection2. Color Theory 2.1. Chromatic classifications 2.2. Symbolisms of colors 2.3. Chromatic compositions 3. Development of clothing design proposal: Creation of clothing collection project responding to the conceptual universe and a specific briefing. This UC is in connection with UC Sustainable Fashion Design.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Continuous assessment, based on the participation and development of statements. In addition to the main project, linked to the Xi-heart Little Dress Project (= 70% of the note), will be (color dossier = 20%) and attendance in class and participation in proposals (10%). The evaluation criteria are related to the deepening of the content consistency with the proposal, contextualization, level of interpretation and creativity, quality of the execution of the documents (digital, graphic and object), oral presentation. It is also considered: assiduity, participation and contributions to the good development of classes and work as a everything. It is possible for the student to improve grade in exam time with the revision of the works as indication and specific orientation of the teacher.
