Learning outcomes To understand, analyze and use the language of the moving image; to investigate and experiment with the technology and the narrative strategies of contemporary audiovisual production; to develop creativity and critical thinking in the production of videographic work of interdisciplinary character.
By the end of this course, students will be able to: demonstrate and use the fundamentals of the language of the moving image, both technically and conceptually; plan and perform original videographic work with an interdisciplinary perspective.
Syllabus Origins and history of the moving image; study and analysis of the moving image; fundamentals/units of the audiovisual language; film editing and post-production; Chromakey laboratory; documentaries and docufiction; cinema and narrative advertising TV spots; expanded cinema. Development of individual and/or group projects: schedule of projects in the various phases: concepts, objectives, prototypes/tests, production, post-production and public exhibition/presentation.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Based on the objectives and the skills planned for this course unit, activities focus on theoretical classes with presentations, viewing of examples, and discussion, as well as practical classes dedicated to project development (project-based learning). Assessment is continuous and based on the development and presentation of projects. Failure to present them on the dates agreed upon with the students will be considered as withdrawal.
