Learning outcomes |
This unit aims at developing in students the ability to research a given topic, by interconnecting the knowledge acquired and by establishing new links.
At the end of this unit the student should be capable of:
- Outline a research strategy to address a particular problem
- Choose the most appropriate tools to achieve the established objectives.
- Communicate the process of investigation
- Draw relevant conclusions and recommendations based on the results obtained

Syllabus |
Students will develop a dissertation in Bioengineering. In this UC the student should be able to develop its autonomy under the guidance of a teacher. The research to be done, should as far as possible interdisciplinary, with the possibility to be done in cooperation with a company or a laboratory.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The dissertation assesment is done according to the Master's degree regulation of the University of Beira Interior. The dissertation is evaluated by the members of the Jury according to the rules and weights that are in force at the date of the discussion.
