Learning outcomes 1. Describe the history of human rights as moral values and legal norms and their relationship to both universalism and moral and cultural relativism;
2. Explore the challenges that the cultural differences that are evident and largely the result of globalisation can pose to the implementation of human rights in practice and even be a source of questioning the legitimacy of the regime and its own content;
4. Explore the cross-cutting nature of the areas of sociology, international relations and international law;
5. Explain the various ways in which both human rights and multiculturalism should be approached as an unavoidable reality in contemporary societies.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The course is structured as T-P (Theoretical-Practical). In theoretical classes, the instructor presents the theoretical and conceptual content of the syllabus. In practical classes, the following activities are carried out: individual and group work; analysis and discussion of scientific texts; and tutorial guidance, supporting students in understanding the texts and systematizing the course content.
