Learning outcomes |
Objectives: 1. To understand the process of evaluating and developing business opportunities. 2. Define criteria for assessing the market potential of a business idea and the resources needed to introduce it to the market. 3. Apply tools for designing, innovating and validating business models. Competences: a. Being able to assess and develop a business opportunity. b. Be able to structure a business model using design, innovation and planning tools. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): This curricular unit also aims to contribute to the training of students capable of meeting the targets of SDG 8 - Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all; and SDG 9 - Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Case studies and scientific articles are presented to better illustrate the application of various strategic and operational tools related to business models. Work - Elaboration of the business model (BM): Tools/Elements: Triple-Layer Model (4X) Canvas; Empathy Map; Value Proposition Design; and VCW. Work teams: 3 students Pitch report: 15th November, 2024. Final presentation: 20th November, 2024.
