Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Teaching and learning activities include lectures and practical classes. The lectures are tutor based expository sessions but students are systematically encouraged to participate. At the end of each lesson, in order to settle and integrate the acquisition of knowledge, a set of study questions is delivered to students. These questions are answered in a self-learning mode and discussed with the teacher and classmates in the next class. The knowledge acquisition of anatomy and physiology is facilitated by means of practical classes with direct observation and discussion. In groups of three, students will elaborate a presentation/video on a chosen subject (hormone) related to the syllabus. The evaluation will include the following items: i) 4 written tests; ii) Classroom Questions; iii) presentation/video..
