Learning outcomes |
This curricular Unit aims to:
- The implementation and integration of knowledge gained in different curricular units; - The development of an autonomous form of a work of scientific research; - The drafting of a master's thesis.
At the end of this COURSE the student should be able to:
1. Evaluate and solve problems within the framework of the activity 2. Make decisions 3. Contribute to a culture of quality 4. Search, organize and convey information in its area of intervention 5. Develop interpersonal relationship skills 6. Recognize its limitations and the need to make learning new knowledge 7. Syllabus |
The syllabus is defined between the supervisor and the student according to the established work plan, under the coordination of the Course Director and Course Commission. It is intended that the proposed theme allows the development of autonomous and multidisciplinary skills through the preparation of a dissertation or a research project in Biomedical Sciences with fundamental or applied nature, in the University and / or partnering with companies or laboratories under supervision of a professor.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The evaluation of this CU comprises the following points:
- Public presentation of the theme and work developed by the master's student. In this presentation will be evaluated qualitatively the state of development of the work carried out by the student and proposals support measures, which contribute to the success of the development of the proposed work plan.
- Scientific/technical quality of the dissertation or internship report: - Clarity and quality of writing; - Structure of the document; - Originality of the problem/project addressed, the methodologies used and the proposed solutions; - Scientific rigor; - Critical analysis of the proposed solutions and the results obtained.
Presentation and public discussion of the work developed under the theme of Dissertation/Internship
