Learning outcomes To enable students to understand and extend the range of scientific knowledge in this area and transmit a set of concepts, tools and analysis techniques, to ascertain, investigate and analyze the main tools of strategic analysis and competitiveness.

To understand and apply strategic tools for competitive analysis business, evaluate and diagnose the competitive position of a sector, region and/or country, and to develop research skills in this area.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The course gives particular emphasis to the activities of research, organization, and study conducted by the student, and the accomplishment of theoretical-practical research work. The classes are organized by combining two complementary teaching techniques: (i) lecture and discussion classes (supported by slides and also by articles and/or book chapters used to motivate the discussion, as well as other supporting material made available through the platform E-content); (ii) practical and oriented towards the realization in research work about the strategy. The evaluation will be carried out according to the following criteria:
(1) Written research work: 70%.
(2) Oral presentation of research work: 30%
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
