Learning outcomes To enable students to understand and extend its range of scientific knowledge in this area and transmit a set of concepts, tools and analysis techniques, to ascertain, investigate and analyze the main tools strategic analysis and competitiveness.

To understand and apply strategic tools for competitive analysis business, evaluate and diagnose the competitive position of a sector, region and/or country, and to develop research skills on this area.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The unit gives particular emphasis to the activities of research, organization, and study conducted by the student, and the accomplishment of a theoretical-practical research work. The classes are organized by combining two complementary teaching techniques: (i) lecture and discussion classes (supported by slides and also by articles and / or book chapters used to motivate the discussion, as well as other supporting material made available through the platform E-content); (ii) practical and oriented oriented towards the realization in a research work about the strategy. The evaluation will be carried out according to the following criteria:
(1) Written research work: 80%.
(2) Oral presentation of research work: 20%
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
